Myofunctional Therapy and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea
Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) affects about 9-25% adults and 2-3% of children and can have detrimental effects on your health. There was a meta-analysis study and systematic review performed in June 2014 and it was concluded that myofunctional therapy reduces apnoeic episodes by 50% in adults and 63% in children and could be used as adjunctive therapy to other OSA treatments.
